KAYAAN Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your data when you use our mobile application ("KAYAAN" or "the App").

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you use KAYAAN, we collect:

• Account Information – Name, email, phone, company details, driver license/DOT information (if required)
• Location Data – Real-time GPS for load tracking and route optimization (only while logged in)
• Load & Document Data – Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proof of Delivery (PODs), and related logistics docs you upload
• Notification Data – Device notification tokens for sending load updates and booking alerts
• Device & Usage Data – Device type, app version, crash logs, and app interactions for analytics

We do not collect or process payment information, as all payments happen outside the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used to:

• Help you search, bid, and manage loads
• Share location & load details with brokers/dispatchers
• Optimize routing and recommend better loads
• Improve app security, performance, and features
• Provide support and resolve technical issues

3. Who We Share Your Information With

We only share your information with:

• Brokers & Dispatchers – for load booking and shipment tracking
• Third-party APIs – Mapbox (maps & routing), DAT Freight (load data), ATOB (fuel card integration if used)
• Service Providers – for hosting, analytics, and bug tracking
• Legal Authorities – if required by law

We do NOT sell, rent or trade your personal data to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

• We keep your data only as long as needed for operational purposes
• You can request account deletion by emailing support@kayaan.ai. Your personal data and documents will be removed unless retention is required by law

5. Permissions

• Location – for load tracking, matching, and route optimization.
• Camera – for scanning and uploading BOL and shipping documents.
• Notifications – for real-time load updates and driver-dispatcher communication.
• No microphone data is collected in this version. Then renumber the following sections (e.g., old 4 becomes 5, etc.).

6. Data Security

We use encryption, secure servers, and strict access controls to protect your data. However, no online service is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Request a copy of your data
• Request corrections or updates
• Request account deletion
• Opt out of location sharing (note: some features will not work)
